Enterprise have invested closed to £1 million in improving pubs in and around Stoke-on-Trent.
Enterprise are raising a glass to their latest joint venture, The Wayfarer in Stone.
They have invested nearly £500,000 into The Wayfarer to help breathe new life into this distinguished public house in conjunction with local pub company Farestone Ltd. (who are already well known locally for The Swan With Two Necks at Blackbrook).
Phil Sharp of Farestone Ltd. commented that “Our partnership with Enterprise has definitely contributed to making The Wayfarer the success it is”.
The Wayfarer has proven to be an instant hit with the local community by bucking the trend in the struggling pub trade and surpassing all financial expectations.
The Wayfarer is just one of several pub refurbishments in the Stoke-On-Trent area which Enterprise have been involved in recently.
Enterprise have been investing steadily in the area over the last 12 months. Other sites to benefit have been The Biddulph Arms in Biddulph, which has tripled turnover since the investment, The Talisman in Tunstall, The Green Star in Smallthorne and The Oak Tree in Oakhill.
Jeremy Muff, regional manager for Enterprise, who along with his property manager, David Comber, has initiated all of these investments stated “it’s very hard for pubs in the current climate, at Enterprise we are doing all we can to give our Publicans the best possible advantage in the marketplace. We are listening to what the local community wants from their pub and then going all out to give it to them”.
Plans are being made for continued investments into pubs in the region, with rumours of an exciting new refurbishment at the Leopard in Burslem being imminent.
